Coole School’s New Buddy Bench 2019!

This week the school prepared for the unveiling of our fantastic new Buddy Bench. The Buddy Bench represents for pupils an area in the school yard that they can go to if feeling in need of a friend or a place to chat and reflect.

The school would like to say a big thank you to the fantastic work of the local Men’s Shed and our Parents’ Association.

Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2019!

Coole N.S. boys and girls made a fantastic effort in donating and creating Christmas shoebox gifts for children in Africa.

An amazing 78 boxes were collected. Well done to all the boys and girls of Coole N.S. who have shown such generosity and kindness to others for Christmas.

World book day 2019!

We will celebrate World Book Day at school on Friday 8th of March. Children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character.

Meath Local Enterprise Award!

Congratulations to these four 5th class girls who represented their school in the recent Meath Local Enterprise competition and won €200 for their class. Everyone in class worked on the project which involved making scented candles from recycled crayons. We sold the candles at the Ceremony of Light in March and donated €150 of the proceeds to Trócaire.

Write a book!

Children in 2nd to 6th classes have been writing stories for the Meath Write-a-Book competition. The stories are excellent and a lot of work has gone into them. Thanks to all parents for your help with their completion. Please email any typed work to the school email account so that the children’s stories can be kept on file at school for future use.
