Wonderful Wellness Week!

Ms Lawless’ 5th Class – Exploring the function of the heart and lungs

Today, the children had a fantastic opportunity to investigate and handle a cow’s heart and lungs. The cow’s organs were provided by Thomas, a trainee veterinary nurse. He presented an insightful presentation and quiz that helped the children fully get involved with the investigation. It is clear the boys and girls in 5th class really enjoyed it!

Ms Lawless’ 5th Class – Group Projects on Great Britain

For the month of January the children were asked to create a group project based on their study of Great Britain and historical exploration of the Plantations.

Well done 5th Class on your amazing achievements!

Coole School’s New Buddy Bench 2019!

This week the school prepared for the unveiling of our fantastic new Buddy Bench. The Buddy Bench represents for pupils an area in the school yard that they can go to if feeling in need of a friend or a place to chat and reflect.

The school would like to say a big thank you to the fantastic work of the local Men’s Shed and our Parents’ Association.

Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2019!

Coole N.S. boys and girls made a fantastic effort in donating and creating Christmas shoebox gifts for children in Africa.

An amazing 78 boxes were collected. Well done to all the boys and girls of Coole N.S. who have shown such generosity and kindness to others for Christmas.

Ms Lawess’ 5th Class – Science Week 2019

The theme of Science week
this year was “Climate Change”!

Image result for science week 2019 climate changeAt the start of the week 5th class enjoyed a school talk from the Green Schools about the impact of Climate Change
and what we can do!

We also had a chance to work on a number of science challenges ranging from exploring how electric cars work to making spinners using recycled materials. On Friday, the class presented their science experiments ranging from hover crafts to a tornado in a bottle and much more.

Well done to 5th class for all their efforts in making a memorable science week for all. The future is definitely bright!
