Recently, 5th class explored the history of the Suffragettes.We learned so many interesting facts. Particularly, we explored the role of Emmeline Pankhurst in making the right to vote for women a key human rights achievement for the 20th Century.
Overall, we definitely have a lot to be thankful for when we look at how society has changed for the better since the right for women to vote was passed in 1928.
